Whilst overtaking at 60 mph in the overtaking lane (60 is the max speed), this white Audi was tailgating me and flashing their headlights. As I hadn't finished overtaking a few cars who were travelling at around 50mph, the headlight flashing continued. There were another 3 or 4 vehicles ahead of me in the overtaking lane (doing the similar max speed) so even if I had pulled back in, the driver wouldn't have got very far. This motorist then tried to undertake me by pulling into the first lane but then got caught behind the slower vehicle ahead and then came back out behind me. As the overtaking stretch had then finished, the tailgating continued for quite some considerable time (20+ mins) - I was a lone female driver on a long, dark, isolated stretch of road, between Tiverton and Molland.
When the next overtaking lane appeared, the driver then held back and just before the extra lane ended, the driver sped up to overtake me, pulled right in front of me and then immediately (& unnecessarily) slammed on their brakes which obviously caused me to break. Fortunately, I was travelling at the legal speed otherwise I would have gone into the back of this car.
This seemed to be a classic case of dangerous, bullying aggressive driving - of a driver who thinks they own the road and that can push and frighten others out of the way.
